We love to watch the antics of our youngest bears, Anna Lou and Angus! Enjoy this fun video of them playing “King of the Hill” atop their jungle gym.
Captive wild animals require a variety of enrichment not only keep them active, but also to keep their minds busy, which helps them stay happy and healthy both physically, and mentally. You’ll see a few different enrichment items in this clip including the jungle gym & multilevel platforms to climb on, trees to scratch on, natural logs that have been turned into wonderful forage devices by our keepers, and even a dig pit area they use almost like a child in a sandbox.
At one point in the video you’ll see Anna Lou use one of the hanging logs as a punching bag, or possibly as a dance partner… We’re honestly not quite sure exactly what she is doing with it, and we’re not really sure that she knows either! lol
